Circuit Points

Circuit points explained:

	The circuit points feature in HSS allow you to generate reports that compute points totals across multiple shows in your HSS database.
	Points are computed based on the points values default points configured for the circuit division. Points are computed as the points reports are generated.
	Points reports are available from the “Global” folder in reports explorer.

An overview of the object relationships:

	A single HSS database can contain multiple shows.
	Every show has one or more show divisions, each show division contains one or more classes.
	Each show division can optionally be a member of a Circuit division.
	A Circuit division is common to ALL shows in the database.

Creating and managing circuit points:

Circuit points are managed using the “Circuit editor” editor available from the main HSS toolbar. The circuit editor has several tabs:

Basic tab: Configure your default circuit points on this tab. Make sure you use the Save button to save the changes!:

Circuit divisions tab: Use this tab to create and modify circuit divisions. Make sure you use the Save button to save the changes!. The “Auto Create” feature will create a circuit division for each show division in the currently open show.

Division Explorer tab: Use this tab to view the structure of the circuit divisions. The expandable tree like explorer view lets you see the relationships of each Circuit division / Show division / Class / Entry. You cannot change information from this view.

Include / Exclude a show from circuit points:

You can include / exclude shows from the circuit points by checking or un-checking the “Include in circuit points” field in EACH show’s properties in the database.

Use the “File / Change current show properties” menu and edit the checkbox appropriately for each show:
